Wheel Detaches, Repair Error Costs $635K

$635,000.00 lawsuit filed against commercial automobile repair facility by motorist. Plaintiff/motorist claimed that the repair facility improperly rotated plaintiff’s vehicle’s wheels. As the plaintiff left the repair facility the front wheel came off of plaintiff’s vehicle, in traffic, causing the plaintiff to lose control of his vehicle finally coming to a rest upon a grassy strip of land located in the shoulder lane of travel. A week following the car accident the plaintiff sought emergent medical care for severe neck pain. After four years of litigation and during the jury trial the matter resolved for 635k.
